Alpha Sigma Alpha was founded in 1901 at the State Female Normal School in Farmville, VA, now known as Longwood University, by five women who believed in service and giving, as well as personal development. By adhering to our motto, Aspire, Seek, Attain, and fostering close friendships between members, Alpha Sigma Alpha elevates the influence of women who strive to continue improving the world around them.
